With the cover complete and my files all set up, it’s now just a waiting game as to when I can get the book out. The proof copy is on it’s way, but the waiting…that’s the hard part. No one likes to wait for things they’re excited for. Normally, I’m a patient person, but right now, I can feel the impatience in my bones!
So, to combat this annoying feeling, I’m going to dive into working on Healing Blood, book two in the Blood trilogy. I’ve been working on it for a while, so it’s already around 30,000 words, but the past couple times I’ve opened the file, I’ve ended up stuck, or switching to Heart of Lavora, the fae novel I’m much closer to completing (it’s still got a ways to go, but I’m at 65,000 words with it…it’s going to be long!). But if I want to get books 2 and 3 out in a timely manner (don’t expect them in a few months, but it’d be great if I could get #2 done by December), I need to buckle down and focus.
Whether or not I can do that is another issue. 😉
